Joogatrousers - Joogahosen

I found nice3/4 collegetrousers in a magazine called "Jooga-trousers" for adults.
I changed them a bit here and there and voilá:
Ich habe in einer Zeitschrift tolle 3/4 Schlumperhosen gefunden "Jooga-Hosen" für Erwachsene.
Ich habe alles hier und dort ein bischen verändert und voilá:

They are really comfy and they will fit a long time! They are made from knit fabric. You can fold down the waistband then they fit a little smaller one too.

Diese Hosen sind wirklich gemütlich und sie werden eine lange Zeit passen. Sie sind aus jersey und mit dem Bündchen heruntergeschlagen passen sie auch schon wenn das Kind noch schmaler ist.

I needed half a meter of knit (and there wasn´t much left because there are some pleats at the waist)

Ich habe einen halben Meter jersey gebraucht (und davon war auch nicht viel übrig wegen der Falten)

I found this tutorial by made-by-rae and wanted to try it.
Ich habe eine Anleitung für eine kleine Handtasche bei made-by-rae gefunden und ausprobiert.

I really like the small size and how it fits gently over my shoulder. Not just in town, but also at the beach it was nice to have it. And do you see the birds inside? I love em!!!
Die kleine Größe gefällt mir wirklich sehr gut. Nicht nur beim shoppen, auch am Strand ist sie sehr nützlich. Und seht ihr die Vögel innen? Ich liebe sie!!!

beige skirt - beiger Rock

I was inspired by this beautiful skirt from Tea Rose Home: Tutorial ~ Corduroy Skirt for Little Girl ~, really at the beginning when I started to reas sewing blogs. It´s so cute and yet so easy... So I tried my own version with some curtain fabric the same color I had at hand. The first attempt became a gift because my girls refused to wear it. So I have no picture.
Then I wondered if some color would help this fabric.

Inspiert war ich von diesem tollen Rock von Tea Rose Home: Tutorial ~ Corduroy Skirt for Little Girl ~, gleich am Anfang, als ich begann Näh-blogs zu lesen. Der Rock ist so chic und gleichzeitig so einfach.. Also habe ich eine eigene Version aus Stoff den ich da hatte genäht.

Der erste Versuch wurde ein Geschenk, weil meine Tochter den Rock definitiv nich anziehen wollte. Ich habe also leider kein Foto.

Für die nächste Version habe ich mir etwas mehr Farbe gewünscht.

First I sewed the flowers and leaves with my machine, a close zic-zac stitch. Not really measured anything but the circles, the leaves are really just sewed. And then you cut out it out really close to the stitches and carefully that you don´t cut the thread (but it won´t be bad if you cut it a little bit once or twice).
Zuerst habe ich die Blumen und Blätter genäht, ein enger Zick-Zack-Stich mit der Maschine. Ich habe dafür nicht wirklich gemessen, die Kreise habe ich mit dem Glas aufgemalt und die Blätter freihand genäht. Dann muss man alles ausschneiden, sehr nah an der Naht, aber nicht durchschneiden. Es passiert aber auch nichts, wenn man mal den Faden durchschneided.

Then I sewed all the pieces to the ready sewn skirt. It war fun and a nice projekt, let´s see if the little girl will wear it!
Anschliessend noch auf den Rock nähen. Das habe ich gemacht, nachdem der Rock fertig war. Das hat wirklich Spass gemacht und es war ein schönes Projekt, mal sehen ob der Rock von der Kleinen vielleichht auch getragen wird.

The leaves are sewn in the middle. Die Blätter sind in der Mitte angenäht.

That is the skirt from inside. So sieht der Rock von innen aus.

And because the flowers didn´t hold up nice after washing I stiched them a little bit in place all around.
Und weil die Blumen doch nicht so gut gehalten haben nach dem waschen, habe ich drumherum noch ein bischen festgestickt.

Chalkboard Paint - Tafelfarbe

Chalkboard is something I always wanted for the girls. With the babybed  being replaced I finally had a board and just need some chalkboard paint to put on!
Ich wollte schon immer eine Tafel für die Mädels. Mit dem aussortieren des Babybettes hatte ich endlich eine Tafel und brauchte nur noch die entsprechende Tafelfarbe!

Ich habe die Ränder der Seiten des Bettes mit Malerklebeband (Tesakrepp) abgeklebt und jeweil im 90° Winkel versetzt drei Schichten aufgetragen. Vorher solltet ihr aber das Brett anschleifen, damit die Farbe besser haften bleibt, habe ich leider vergessen. Hierzu einfach feines Schleifpapier nehmen und gleichmässig die Oberfläche anrauen. Danach abstauben mit einem Tuch oder sowas und dann streichen.

Because the paint has to dry in between there was plenty of time to play outside in the garten with the kids and then they would watch me painting again. The next day the happily drawed on their new boards! They use a sponge to clean it but sometimes just lay them out in the rain! (I don´t care too much if the boards will get worse from the weather, they are for outside!!)
Da die Farbe trocknen muss war zwischendurch immer viel Zeit mit den Kinder im Garten zu spielen. Und dann haben sie mir wieder beim streichen zugeguckt. Am nächsten Tag haben sie dann fröhlich auf ihre neuen Tafeln gemalt! 
Sie haben einen Schwamm und die Tafeln abzuwichen, aber manchmal legen sie sie auch einfach in den Regen! (Es macht mir nicht zu viel aus, dass das Holz dadurch leidet, sie sind für draussen!!)

Summer dress - Sommerkleid

Actually this dress is already some weeks old, but I just wanted to show it, maybe you live in some place with nice weather even now. It´s so an easy and fast project, I will make more next year.
Eigentlich ist dieses Kleid schon ein paar Wochen alt, aber ich wollte es euch noch zeigen, vielleicht seid ihr ja auch irgendwo, wo es auch jetzt noch schönes Wetter hat. Das ist so ein einfaches und schnelles Kleid, ich mache nächstes Jahr mehr!

I found several tutorials for sewing with elastic thread. It was really fun to make and to wear!
Ich habe einige Anleitungen zum nähen mit Elastischem Faden gefunden. Es war wirklich toll das zu machen und auch das Kleid zu tragen!

I don´t remember where I took the measurements from, sorry, but I ended up with 2  60cm long pieces for the body.. that was to much and I cut of something like 25cm for my small almost 4year old. A great tutorial for shirring at Ruffles and Stuff here. And look at here nice Idea here!

Giftwrapmagnets - Geschenkpapiermagnete

Here is a superfast and easy craft like after partys.
I alwasy feel a little bit sorry when all the gifts are unpacked and I have to throw the nice papers away. So made up this:
Hier kommt eine schnelle Bastelei nach der Feier.
Mir tut es immer ein bischen leid um das schöne Papier, wenn alle Geschenke ausgepackt sind und ich die Reste wegwerfen muss. Deshalb hab ich mir das einfallen lassen:
 You can take magnets with pictures you don´t like any more or purchase some magnetfoil. I got this small pieces with adverts on them.

 Entweder ihr verwendet Magnete mit Bildern die ihr nicht mehr mögt oder besorgt Magnetfolie, kriegt man auch in kleinen Mengen. Ich hatte diese Quadrate mit Werbung drauf und habe sie verwendet.

First you have to peel of the previous paper or if you have new foil the protection sheet.
Zuerst müsst ihr das Papier abknibbeln oder die Schutzfolie entfernen.

 Then I had to apply some glue (stick) and position the magnet on the wrappingpaper. It´s no big harm if there are some wrinkles you can get a smooth surface now.

Danach musste ich noch Kleber auftragen und dann auf dem Papier positionieren. Es ist nicht so schlimm, wenn das Papier ein bischen zerknittert ist, durch den Kleber kann man es jetzt glattstreichen.

 Cut out.

Ausschneiden.

Ready.

Fertig.

 

Ottobre hat / Ottobre Hut

I found a nice Magazine in a shop the other day: Ottobre. I didn´t buy it because I normally use tutorials from the internet. But look at their website!
It´s so nice design for kids and teens. And they offer a lot of patterns online for free, yeah!
Actually I was looking for a tut do make a new summer hat, despite summer is almost over I need one. The other hat is missing. So I took this one, and it comes in diffrent languages!

Ich habe eine tolle Zeitschrift im Supermarkt gesehen: Ottobre. Ich hab sie aber nicht gekauft, weil ich normalerweise Anleitungen aus dem Internet benutze. Aber seht euch die Website an! Es gibt so tolle Designs für Kinder und Teens und es gibt einige Schnitte umsonst. 
Eigentlich suchte ich nach einer Anleitung für Sommerhüte. Auch wenn der Sommer fast vorbei ist... unser Hut wird seit Tagen vermisst. Also habe ich diese Anleitung ausprobiert!

 I took my scraps from marimekko flower design (real finish) and for the linning some grey stars. You don´t really see the flowers, but I like the bright colors and guess every finn knows what he´s looking at. Because both fabrics where normal thin cotton I took some interfacing and the I sewed everything together.

Aus Resten von Marimekko Stoff (echt finnisch!) und Innen graue Sternchen. Man erkennt nicht, dass der Stoff Blumenmuster hat, aber mir gefallen die leuchtenden Farben  und ich vermute jeder Finne erkennt woher das kommt.
Da beide Stoffe sehr dünn sind habe ich Vlieseline aufgebügelt und dann alles zusammengenäht.

 Actually both hats should fit the older one, but they fit the younger one better. As the fabrics don´t strech you could probably go one size bigger if close. I wasn´t sure about the size, but with the smaller kid coming too small is always no loss. I made a size 50 and the younger one ist a bit over two now.

Eigentlich hätten beide Hüte der Grösseren passen sollen, aber einer passt der Kleinen tatsächlich besser. Da die Stoffe sich nicht dehnen (spätestens durch die Vlieseline) kann man ruhig etwas grösser nähen, aber nicht zu gross, da sich Fehler im Umfang mal 6 addieren! Ich habe Grösse 50 gemacht und die Kleine ist etwas über zwei Jahre alt.

I will try one size bigger with the purple fabric again, and my daugther asked for a puprpel flower too. So, I know what to do tomorrow, smile!

Ich werde eine Nummer grösser mit dem lila Stoff nochmal machen, es wurde eine lila Blume gewünscht. Das dann also morgen!
